This year’s Loy Krathong celebration at Nordic Tropical Resort kept to a simple, relaxed atmosphere.
The afternoon began at the Pavilion, where guests gathered for the 1st Bocce Game of the Season 2025-26.
The early part of the evening stayed easy and social, with groups talking, watching the matches, and enjoying the light setup before the main event of this evening.
After the bocce game ended, everyone took a short walk to The Atrium, where the Tumelic Café staff had already set out the traditional Thai krathongs.
Our community members found their seats and enjoyed an easy, pleasant dinner as the evening settled in.
When it was time to begin, Toon, our restaurant manager, explained the meaning of the ceremony in a clear and welcoming way.
She added a few short dance moments to show how the tradition is normally practiced. Everything remained simple, steady, and easy to follow.
The central pond became the main spot of the night. Guests gathered around, helped one another light the candles, and took a few photos before placing their krathongs onto the water.
The pace stayed relaxed, with everyone joining in without hurry.
Once the krathongs were floating, guests returned to their tables, continued their meal, and enjoyed quiet conversation as the evening moved along at a steady, comfortable rhythm.
Loy Krathong 2025 at Nordic brought our community together for the first time in the Season 2025-26 in a warm and familiar way, offering an easy and enjoyable introduction to one of Thailand’s most cherished traditions.
